Root One Garden Centre

Root One is the local nominated super-stockist of the J. Arthur Bowyers and New Horizon range of composts from Sinclair. The range is comprehensive and most lines are available in 3 sizes. The New Horizon peat-free compost is suitable for organic gardening and has been the recipient of Garden Which’s Best Buy peat-free compost for the last 2 years running. We also stock bagged topsoil, bark and mulches, and soil conditioners. This year Sinclair are supporting the Greenfingers Charity, which is committed to creating magical gardens for children’s hospices around the country. They will be donating 2p for every bag of 20l topsoil sold throughout the country.

Gravel, Cobbles and Pebbles:

We stock a wide and very competitively priced range of chippings and gravel to suit most garden situations. Pre-packed in 25Kg bags and perfect for patios, driveways and paths, they come in different colour shades and sizes, and attract discounts for multi-buy purchases. We also carry larger pebbles, cobbles and rockery stones which are excellent for rockeries and water features. Decorative slate in plum, blue, and green shades, plus horticultural grit, sharp sand and play sand complete the range.

Whether your taste is for classic terracotta, rustic barrel or glazed ceramic, chances are we will have the right pot at the right price for you. Each season we are able to offer a massive range of colours, shapes, textures and forms - all guaranteed frost-resistant. Notable of late have been the very popular fibreclay planters and window boxes. Using a patented production mix of high quality clay and other elements the lead-effect range is lightweight and particularly convincing.
